I love Betty Neels for her stories. The gals type on typewriters. Every time (admittedly not too often) I saw the word "computer" it dragged me out of the story. I want to read again my original books. If I wanted modern gals I'd read contemporary fiction. I do not. FOR A REASON.

To the editors: If you're going to tinker with old favorites, at least offer two versions/one original and then your "improved" tweak of what was and is an already fine story. I will actively read reviews in the future because I absolutely do not want to read the word "computer" in a Betty Neels book. Or on my Kindle as the case may be!!!

The story itself is charming. It's a Betty Neels, so we know there's a Dutch doctor and a nurse. This time she's a secretary, the daughter of a doctor, and smart about medical terminology. Julie is a gem.

Have reviewed Betty Neels several times. I never tire of reading her stories. Would love to find another writer who is as good.
I have been buying Betty Neels books for my mother (in her 70's) at her request, as an introduction to using a . I can say without hesitation that she loves all of these books. As she has said, "The plots may all be somewhat similar and the stories quaint, but I enjoy them immensely and find them endearing." What better recommendation could there be? And the Paperwhite? She loves the backlight and the ability to make the font larger.
I was so into this book from beginning to end. You will not be disappointed.😊 I am a fan of Betty Neels novels.

I love all the old fashioned sweet romances by Betty Neels. I read them all many years ago and am now reading them for the 2nd and even 3rd times on my . She wrote them all on a formula. Usually a romance between a Dutch doctor or professor and an English young lady. There is always some type of conflict that has to be settled before the happily ever after. No violence and no sexual content.
