The Rules and Regulations for Mediating Myths Magic eBook FT Lukens

This is such a fun book. I loved all the characters - especially Bridger and Leo. I really like that the author doesn't go the route of making the normal, main character the secret/powerful savior of the world. Bridger is just like everybody else, he just happened to answer a Craigslist ad. Everyone felt like they were the age they were written as. I absolutely ADORE the premise and wish this book was twice as long. Not that it isn't satisfying as is, but as I said, I love the characters and the premise. I could read an entire serie about this. Or a book about Pavel!

This book made me happy. I'm going to check out the other books by this author!

The Rules and Regulations for Mediating Myths Magic eBook FT Lukens Reviews

This was just a delightful book. Loved how this book blended the fantasy aspects into the story. Not only is about creatures and characters of myth and legend but the story of Bridger (love the name and now seems appropriate) became a fairytale as well with his faithful companion (Astrid), magical adviser (Pavel) and very own Prince Charming (Leo).
Ohhh, this one is TOTALLY cute! And the picture on the front is a true representation of the content -)
Only, a little LESS drama would be nicer, and a bit more of the ordinary cases. Otherwise, a 4+.
I really recommend this, it was sweet, exciting and hilarious. All of the characters are amazing. It is an amazing coming of age, coming out story, with a dash of butter addicted pixies and rampaging unicorns thrown in.
Started out great but kinda left you, feeling empty. This story had so much potential but as I got to the end of the book I realized that the story really wasn't going to go in anywhere.
If you, like me have always dreamed about there being something more to this troubled, materialistic old world, you will like this book! It's full of all those fantastical creatures we cryptozoologist-wannabes dream about, like Bigfoot, werewolves and unicorns, plus a bit of romance. I can 'totes' see this becoming a series. If you like this book you will also love Scott Tracey's "Witch Eyes" series.
I loved this book from the very first paragraph. Lukens'writing is immersive and fun. The characters are vivid, engaging, and lifelike. Bridger is an endearing character and melds well with the supporting cast. I really like him.
The teens talk like teens; even though they made popular culture references I never cringed. I also love that the author seamlessly connected with high school memories. I remember Hamlet being my favorite required reading & having the characters make reference to the work brought back great memories. I am so thankful for the ending being enjoyable, I was worried for a while.
Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a sweet, satisfying, YA read!
More of a 4.5 for me, but I bump those up to 5's.
The ending was a little too convenient, there was a lot of buildup and then the drama just went fwoooosh out the window and everything was solved instantly.
I would like to read another book, honestly. There's potential for a second, like I want to know more about Pavel and that world. I want to know about other intermediaries. I want to know if Bridger can become one, etc.
Like, I know it was summed up as a happy ending, but I'd really like to continue.

Either way, this was a fun read. Kind of reminded me of In Other Lands, so if you want to read a book in the same vein, try that.
